Whats wrong with UFC?

Ok, i realize this is the boxing section i know that already and i am in no way what so ever bashing UFC. To all the UFC fans not just MMA i mean the actual UFC company, why does the UFC intentionally go out of their way to put on shows to try and compete for viewers. This is what im trying to get at, when ever there is a boxing match on PPV, UFC just so happens to coincidently put on a show that same night, and i remember when UFC was just making a name for itself, the would put on PPV shows when WWF had shows the same night, but now this new development just came up. Strikeforce is having a fight card Nov.7, thats been planned for awhile now with Fedor Emilianenko, why does the UFC have to go out of there way to put on a fight card that same night? I understand UFC already has a pretty large fan base but dont you think they would have an even larger fan base if they put PPV shows on other night? take me for example, i'll occasionally watch a UFC show but if its on a same night as a boxing match well than UFC just lost one viewer, im not naieve (sp) enough to say that one viewer makes a difference but im pretty sure im not the only one who thinks this way, therefore UFC loses viewers, ive always been more of a PRIDE fan anyway. Anyway i guess what im trying to get at is, does any one else think this way also? namely UFC fans since they are the ones who probably know the logic behind it more than i do. To me it just seems like UFC is like that little kid brother who is still trying to get noticed so they go out of there way to draw attention to themselves, get what i mean?

Hey GOAT... I've been wondering that very same thing for months. I occasionally like to watch UFC, but my first love is boxing. Just like you, if an UFC event and a boxing event is on PPV at the same time, then UFC loses me as a viewer, whereas if they had the event on a different date, then they would more than likely get my attention as a viewer. I just seems to make sense to have an event on a seperate date, rather then split up viewers by making them pick between two events.

I love UFC and MMA. But the Maywheather Marquez fight sold over 1million PPVs the UFC that night only like 250K.

He just thinks he is better then everybody.

Dana White is ignorant. He wants to compete with boxing but he lost some viewers because they were watching another event. Pretty immature if you ask me.

The fights are exciting when they are fighting on their feet.  Once they hit the ground and do their ground fighting.... I don't find it exciting.  The sad thing about it... is that most UFC fights consist of ground fighting... and when they spend 5 minutes rolling around on the ground... there is nothing more unattracted.

To me it looks like a drunken bar fight. It's barbaric and lacks the scientific beauty of boxing. Dana White wants his product to supersede boxing and anything else. He also wanted to shut up Mayweather  (and now Bob Arum). Mayweather/ Marquez killed UFC though. The 2 audiences for the most part are 2 separate demographics.
