What is wrong with the UFC?

Why is UFC giving Brock Lesnar a Heavyweight Title fight? He is not experienced yet and he already fights for the title. I am not dissing Lesnar but he has to make more impact in UFC. He has to gain more experience and have more fights. This truelly turns to be like overreacting about Brock. Seriously, i really doubt that he would even beat Randy Couture. Couture is way more experienced that Brock. And seriously i don't think Lesnar deserves te title shot yet.

I have to agree with ChrisP there. There are only so many premiere fighters and match-ups. While the UFC has tried to limit the number of fighters and keep the quality up in so doing they now have a limited supply of fighters most of which have already fought one another. Many of these fighters are older also. I think the Leben/Bespig pay per view demonstrates this. Most other times that would be on the undercard and not a main event. That along with the fact that they have relied heavily on pay-per-view and the other fighting organizations have contracts with major network television and more openly welcome fighters of any organization to appear and or fight on their cards for their titles really puts the UFC in a bad position business wise. They are having to now do whatever it takes to keep the money flowing and the interest up and this match-up is one way of doing it. I am afraid they are in for a rougher road than this if the televison contract is renewed for Elite XC and the general public embraces that more heavily. The UFC could be left out in the cold with only pay-per-view and their televison show to rely on for fighters and exposure and you will have more match-ups like what you are seeing now. At some point they will have to change the way they are doing business and do it with some of those that they have snubbed or told that "we don't need you" I think. Hence Couture being welcomed back into the fold and the match-up with Lesnar.

I agree, but its due to the UFC's biggest problem- It's barren heavyweight division. With Couture back, they needed to get his two fights out of the way if they were going to save any kind of face with him, so they needed an immediate challenger. Lesnar is one of the most promising heavyweight prospects in years, but I think he needed at least one more win to get the shot. I would have liked to see a Lesnar- Gabriel Gonzaga fight or even a Lesnar-Werdum fight for a shot at the title, but its a business, and this matchup is going to be a huge money maker. Personally, I'm more interested in the Sadollah-Catone fight. I really like Amir, but I really don't know if he's cut out to be the next superstar, but instead the perennial underdog. That fight will go a long way in telling.

Kimbo is a headliner because of his popularity.

Like Kimbo or not, he can sell out places.

Brock Lesnar, WOW! NCCAA Wreslting Champion.

    Former WWE Heavyweight Champion,

Brock can headline, and sell out events too, from his name alone.

The difference between Kimbo and Brock is that Brock is a a wrestler, where as Kimbo is a street fighter.

Brock can beat Couture. And I think Brock will hand Randy Couture a huge loss.

Then Lesnar will defeat the next opponent whether it is Mir or Nog, and watch Lesnar and Fedor meet in late 2009 <Couture will get bypassed>

AND REMEMBER YOU HEARD FROM ME FIRST

Yeah, Couture has won the heavyweight title three times now, no wonder he's called the Natural. Still though, Lesnar annihilated Heath Herring and I think Brock is very confident (maybe too much) and really wants this fight.

No way did he win the strive against. inspite of this letting Matt win the strive against in England adverse to a Brit could were a nasty call. Bisping were given rocked lots of the strive against and had an excellent final 2 minutes of the third round and gained it. Judges want to how you'll score a strive against. bypass back to the solid old days of the UFC, knock out or placed up and then its over.

brock brings a huge following from his previous wrestling matches in the wwe( i think it was that one)

this means more people want to see him fight.

    more people means more money.

at the end of the day ufc is a business for zuffa and dana white.

ufc has lost a lot of money over the years.
