What to see and do in Berlin?

I'm thinking of visiting Berlin -- for the first time -- to see what has happened to Associated Press German Service journalists since the DDP has bought them out. I'll be in the Mitte (10115) area and would like to know the "must sees, must dos", particularly in contemporary art and hot, new (preferably fish and/ or vegetarian) eateries. Are there cool cafes there too?

Berlin Mitte is somewhat a bit lame better go to Kreuzberg with its fantastic multicultural scene.
You will find cafes and bars including vegetarian ones

Berlin is a great and big huge city. So much to see and to do.
Museums, Cafes, Clubs, Restaurants, shopping it's just must see!!!
Have fun, I was there already four times....
