kevs, i tried to divert them and talk about something else. it doesn't work.
lady gaga will always attract attention and comments because of the way she is. honestly, saying thank you is enough but it has been a drag...

If it's a quick compliment, just smile politely, say "thanks" and hope that they move on to a different subject. If they keep going on about it, you can try to turn the attention away from yourself by giving them a compliment in return.
I continually settle for compliments graciously-I stitch, cook dinner, bake and gown nicely. whilst i replaced into youthful tho I felt self wide awake of compliments because of the fact i did no longer understand 'what they needed from me?' Now I gown how i like and if somebody likes it too it incredibly is super. yet I do little or no any further for different people's approval.
You're probably not going to be able to stop it. I have the same problem. I hear the same things over and over again, and you're right, it does get a little embarrassing and uncomfortable. But people mean well, and it could be worse. They could be calling you a very bad name or something equally as bad. Just say thankyou and continue on your way. If you try to stop them you may never get another compliment, and that wouldn't be good either.
