Work at home ideas for someone with social anxiety?

I don't want scams. Either online jobs or things I can do from home. I have severe depression and social anxiety so I need something flexible. I really love animals so something to do with that or maybe reading would be good.

Unfortunately some of the answers you will get here are from get rich quick systems that have you pay a fee up front and/or charge you a monthly fee to participate. Most are from decent folks trying to make money selling affiliate products. Unfortunately there are thousands of others trying to make money off the same products too much competition to make more that a few pennies at most. . Most online jobs require you to recruit people for the service and you get a cut of the profits. If you love animals try starting up a pet sitting service or feeding and exercising pets while the owners are on vacation. You could try selling pet supplies on ebay or craigslist. Another possibility would be to set up a pet related website and run adsense and clickbank ads on it to generate income, best results are from blog sites where people can ask questions or comment on your articles. A website will start slow but as your audience increases so will your income. If an offer looks too good to be true or promises tons of money, it's a scam. Good luck>_<

Anxiety is the pits. I really struggled in that area but have slowly begun working through it. It's tough!

What is your goal? First you need to decide if you're looking for a business or a job. An online job can be found, but they can be difficult and you can quickly run into scams. NEVER pay for a "job." That's the quickest way to losing your money. I have found online jobs, but my pay was dictated by someone else. I only got paid if they had work for me to do. Even then, the payout wasn't enough for a part time income.

With a business you usually have to pay out a little to get going. With the company I'm with, I paid $99. I felt it was a reasonable amount to get going and it gave me all the tools I needed to get started. I earned that all back and more with my first check and I am debt free in regards to my business. The advantage of a business over a job is that my income potential is up to me. The effort I put into my "work" will determine my income. It's all in my hands and not the hands of a boss. I like it and it works for me. We are hoping to be credit card debt free by the end of 2010 and it's all because of my business.

You need to decide what direction you'd like to go and then move forward from there. Find your passion and follow it.

Good luck! I hope it works out for you.
