The Occupation of the Channel Islands refers to the military occupation of the Channel Islands by Germany during World War II which lasted from 30 June 1940 until the Liberation on 9 May 1945.

These were the only portions of the British Isles to be invaded and occupied by German forces during the war.

The British islands of Guernsey, Jersey and Alderney were officially occupied by the German's between July 1-4, 1940. They occupied the islands until the end of the war in Europe, the Admiral in charge being a rather fanatical sort who decided to hold out until "the final victory".
