Why do some want us to believe that the Nuclear option is the same as reconcilation they are not and they know?

Are you aware that you posted this to the military forum? (Where the phrase 'nuclear option' has a more literal meaning.)

Whatever.

Nuclear option

The nuclear option is an attempt by a majority of the United States Senate to end a filibuster by invoking a point of order to essentially declare the filibuster unconstitutional which can be decided by a simple majority, rather than seeking formal cloture with a supermajority of 60 senators.

Reconciliation

A legislative process in the United States Senate intended to allow consideration of a contentious budget bill without the threat of filibuster. Reconciliation limits debate and amendment, and therefore favors the majority party.

The differences between these two processes is like the difference between a toilet and a latrine.

I swear my head is going to explode. When it comes to congress and the senate, is there any reason to anything they do?

Your question reads in front of my eyes like the teacher talks in the Charlie Brown cartoons. Not your fault, just how I feel about Nuclear vs Reconciliation.

Going nuclear is another way of saying reconciliation.

It is the same! Why were Demorats against it in 2005 but are now suddenly for it?! Can you say hypocrites?!
