I plan on getting my male kitten declawed, and was wondering, if i dont get him spayed, is he going to spray?
He has never been around another cat, except at birth. He is an inside cat, and i have a male inside dog. He hasnt sprayed yet, but will he?

Yes, a male cat that has not been neutered will spray the living hell out of wherever you're living, regardless of whether there are other cats around. And if he starts spraying, and then you get him neutered, he might STILL spray. But if you get him fixed BEFORE he starts spraying, then he'll probably never spray. So the solution is to get him fixed, not declawed (which is a terribly cruel thing to do, by the way - they actually remove two joints, somewhat like cutting off your fingers to the second knuckle).

Ok, I don't know about whether your male cat will still spray if it's around another male or female cat.
However, I BEG of you PLEASE do NOT have him declawed! There are so many reasons why people shouldn't have their cats declawed. The biggest reason is that if a cat's claws are removed, they lose their primary means of self defense. Even if you keep him inside, there's still the possibility that he can get out and be attacked by another cat (maybe one bigger than him) or a dog.
And there ARE other ways to keep him from scratching your furniture.

I want to add that even with neutering, cats may spray, but it is much easier to get it under control and it will usually be a fear reaction and not a territorial behavior. Declawing a cat will also make it more likely to be fearful and aggressive which could create spraying behavior on its own.

Spend you money first on getting him spayed. Fixed cats don't spray if they never sprayed.
If you don't get him spayed he will eventually spray because he will go in heat. A spayed cat, or dog, generally is better behaved.

Yes. It's instinct for the cat to mark his territory even if he's only around people. They feel anyone else is entering their territoy(YOUR HOME) Dogs won't always mark their territory by pissing on it but cats do.. Plus you have the dog so the cat will mark what he considers his.
