Why does facebook chat not work?

Is anyone else having problems with Facebook Chat? It shows people are online and when I try to talk to them they all disappear and it says there is no one online? I bought a dongle...could it be that?

it does that with me too. it's not the dongle, facebook chat is one of the worst online chats there is in my opinion.

No. It just means you missed them when they were on line. The updates sometimes lag people coming or going.
