Is it unsafe to get an antibiotic shot somewhere else rather than the butt chick?
I hate getting them there, HATE HATE but my doctor says it is not safe to get them anywhere else cause of the tissue differences. I have seen ppl get shots on the arms but my doctor refuses...Is there any validity to this or is he just being stubborn? I know shots can be meant to go directly to the bloodstream and others should be slowly absorbed through the muscle but, don`t the arms have muscle as well?

I always give antibiotic injections to a butt cheek as it is a larger muscle for a generally larger and thicker intramuscular antibiotic injection
I have always given penicillin injections to the butt cheek as this is a large thick injection that is not comfortable to receive and I would certainly refuse any request to give this in the arm
an arm should not really have more than 1 ml as an intramuscular injection, although I have given up to 2 ml without issues - but these are other injections and not the thicker antibiotics such as cilicaine penicilin (due to smaller muscle mass)
Also antibiotic injections tend to be thicker and possibly can cause local damage around the injection site, so you want that larger area
the literature usually recommends a site for injection as a larger muscle mass - an alternative could be the leg, but I would always choose the butt cheek and it would be the most comfortable area as well
your Dr is perfectly correct and is looking after your best interests
a risk with a butt cheek injection would be damage to the sciatic nerve from a misplaced site of injection, but this really is not an issue with someone who is competent
