At around age 40, is it mostly wives or husbands complaining about a lack of sexual activity?

Some of your answers are unintelligible. Thumbs down.

Men seem to reach their sexual peak in their early twenties; women in their late thirties.
But since the wife have been shutting him down for fifteen years, I can't see how she can be justified in beefing about it...

If you have a good relationship and you both keep the other's fulfillment as your foremost goal then there is no lack about which to complain. Don't worry about who is complaining. Worry about making sure the problem doesn't arise.

Men complain to me about their lack of sexual activity with their wifes and/or girlfreinds.

I think it's probably about even. My wife tried the "I want this and that or no sex" line several years ago. I never give in to blackmail. So I chose the no sex. Problem solved. Life is so much easier without the sex issue.

I have seen both. I don't think either sex has exclusivity on this. It sort of becomes a vicious cycle and usually leads to infidelity, bad feelings on both sides and divorce. Just keep having sex people; it's not rocket science (unless you want a divorce, of course).
