How frequently one married couple should perform sexual activity at the age of around forty five or so?

As often as they want to. And that goes for any age. Its up to the couple. Some like to have sex every night, some are ok with just once a week with lots of cuddly nights in between. If they both agree, then no problem, but it one person wants it more or less than the other, then the problems start. And, as I said before, that goes for ANY age.

During their 30's and 40's, women are at their sexual peak (and yes, thats true! And men peak in their 20's) which is why a lot of younger men are attracted to older women, because they are experienced and have a high libido.

We are both 46. Twice a week on average. More important we have a rule that we always follow:

If one of us requests sex the other can either say yes or how about tomorrow night? And then when tomorrow night comes - it happens.

Part of the reason we have a great marriage, is my wife understands that sex is a big deal to the average man. And I have a high drive. So her way of showing me love is: She has stayed in great shape and is fit and trim and when we do connect she makes it fantastic for me. In return I just try to be a great husband. And yes I am also in very good shape.

As often as you are comfortable with. it is never too little or too much

You did not ask per week or month ??? So I am thinking someone is not getting enough It is up to you as a couple to decide together

I'm just taking a stab in the dark here but I'm pretty sure everyone is different and I don't think there is/should be a standard for how much sexual activity any given couple should have.

Oh come on. You can't say that all people at age 45 should have sex this many times a week. People are different and so are their sex drive. Don't compare yourself or your spouse's sex drive to someone else who's the same age as you. That's just plain ignore!

!0 times a day , 1 time a month. There is no answer that is right or wrong at this age or any other it is about what the people involved want.

twice a quarter - clean the house

twice a decade have child.

There is no fixed date or number.. Each couple has a comfort level with each other.. If once a week is what they enjoy .. so be it .. If every day -- GREAT !!! It is also a great cardiovascular exercise .. So for a healthy heart exercise as often as possible !!

If you're single, have a rotation of several lovers. If married, keep recreating your love. Have an affair with your wife.
