What do you think about this poem?
My Sunshine
Like a flower without water
Gandhi without food
Somehow I am less alive
When I am without you
You’re the source of all my energy
The thought behind my smile
The feeling I never thought I’d have
And have been for a while
If you ever took your love away
I don’t know what I’d do
I don’t want to live without you
pink: Thank you. I almost cut that part because I thought people wouldn't get it. Glad to see I was wrong.
Rachel: Thanks. If I was worried about someone stealing it I wouldn't post it here- good point though.
tj8: When Gandhi refused to eat it was a powerful act of love that caused him to suffer. This poem recognizes the break in spiritual energy that happens when there is major discord in a deep and meaningful relationship. I'll admit it's a stretch, which is why I considered taking it out, but creative liberties prevailed. I'm sorry if it offended you.
Teddy: Love is a drug my friend. If you get cut off, withdrawals are inevitable.
Looking for more: Thanks. Maybe you should write something like that. My guess would be that there's not as much emotion in strategy so it's more difficult to write about it. Just a thought.
Kayla: Thanks. :)
