Wondering wherever my cat is a British Bombay?!?

I have a black male cat named Dodger, and hes 14 months old, i havent got no papers or anything and the women i got him from didnt tell me wherever hes a bombay
and ive been researching Bombay cats, and everything about them is the same as Dodger.
ive been looking at photos of them and Dodger looks exact!

His fur is jet black to the root its short and he has black paws, he isn't fat but his body's lean and surprisingly heavy! His eyes are a green/copper colour
hes clever and quick thinking, like a few months back me and my boyfriend thought someone was at our frontdoor we heard our latch go across and the door handle getting pulled down, and i got out of bed to find it was Dodger jumping and pulling the handle and there was this other time at night time me and my boyfriend was coming back home, and we shut the door and i heard the door handle being pulled down this time from the outside of our front door to open it and find it was dodger he was in the lobby trying to get back into our flat. he has these mad half hours, where he runs round my flat really quick he can be running on and off my sofas, and cuboards and he runs around really fast!
he loves attention, if people come round he will go to them and likes to get stroked by them.
he loves his food, and isnt a picky eater.

Does he sound like a bombay?

Not to me, no.

He sounds like a typical domestic shorthair - my parents have domestics that can open doors with ease. It's cute but not really breed-specific.

As uncommon as the Bombay is VERY unlikely someone would just give one away without telling you what breed it was. And there's also no such thing as green eyes in a Bombay - they're always copper or gold.

I'm sure if you posted some pics I could give you at least half a dozen reasons your cat doesn't look ANYTHING like a Bombay. It's simply a domestic - a cat of no particular breed just like over 97% of the cats on this entire planet.

No he sounds like a normal domestic shorthair that is black in color. First of all there is no "British Bombay". Bombays look like a black version of the Burmese cat. And w/o a pedigree or registration papers, you don't have any particular breed.
