Platinum ring with gold watch?

My engagement and wedding band set are platinum-toned (actually rhodium over white gold). Can I wear a gold watch with them? I have my mother's gold watch, but I feel that they kind of clash.

I use to always worry about wearing gold and silver together in fear of clashing but I started wearing them together as they were items that were sentimental to me and didnt want to not wear either one. Now I think they go together quite well and i often get complemented on all of it. My opinion is if you think they look good together then wear them together.

I personally wouldn't and if you say it clashes...you have your answer.
