Question about a 1999 Dodge Intrepid?

I have a 1999 Dodge Intrepid with a 2.7 liter engine. It rattles a lot and I've change the timing chains and tensioners as well as about ten of the little valve dampers that were bad. It still rattles and the noise is up high and not a low noise like a rod would make or a spun bearing. Any suggestions?

You're not getting oil pressure to the valvetrain, or your clearances are way off.

If there is purely a small volume of smoke this is in all probability purely condensation this is typical. this could be greater reported in less warm climate because of the fact the chilly air reasons greater water vapor in the exhaust to condense and are available into view. this isn't possibly a situation brought about by technique of a defective EGR valve sensor because of the fact if there have been a severe situation with that sensor the vehicle in all probability does not run easily at idle. If the quantity of white smoke is greater desirable than the quantity that would desire to generally be attributed to condensation you have gotten leaky head gasket. shop a watch on the automobiles coolant point, coolant leaking into the automobiles cylinders throughout the time of the top gasket burns inflicting white smoke. If the leak is severe adequate you could word a drop in coolant point after utilising for awhile, you additionally could have the skill to sniff the antifreeze burning in the exhaust. If the top gasket is your project your watching an costly restoration (think of $seven-hundred to $800). stable luck.
