i have a magellan 3100 gps unit some of the trucks i drive dont have cig lighters in them so i cant charge the unit does any body know if they sell a back up battery i can charge in my house and bring with me and just plug into the unit ive tried mageiian sites but no luck

Not from Magellan, but auto parts stores and the like sell totable 12V power packs. Most oftent they do have a 12V auto outlet on them.
I have one from Canadian Tire (Canadian department store chain, catering to auto, DIY, home, and garden wares), made by Xantrex, which I have charged with a solar panel (but can be home charged from the wall).
I have a Megellan 3120 that I take and charge from it.
