It is not given for us to know the purpose of our own life. That's why we just have to keep going, not asking for a report card, as it were. Small kindnesses are good; they ripple out so far. I've found that there is some kind of guidance from I-know-not-where - if I'm supposed to be doing something, it falls right into my lap, all the doors are open. Whereas if everything is blocked and I'm pushing the river, so to speak, it's better to leave it alone.
There's this too - since I turned 60yo I have come to understand things about my life that amazed me. But I was too young even at 40yo to get it.
So stick around, life isn't what you think.

There isn't any point in life. But learning a foreign language would be interesting and maybe even useful, plus it is healthy to stimulate your brain. Sure if you are going to die next week you might as well just lie in bed smoking cigarettes and watching Jerry Springer, but if you plan to be around for a few years self improvement will make that time more enjoyable.

Hi Steve, are you not eating any food, or buying any clothes for yourself on the same thought , that you are going to die? its similar..if we got birth in this world, then it is sure that we have to die one day.God gave us this life to learn, love, experience and to share. If you are getting an oppurtunity to learn a foreign language, go for it, no matter you die one day, because before you die, may be you will be able to help someone out of your knowledge.

“There are different levels of learning, and we must learn some of them in the flesh. We must feel the pain. When you're in physical state in the flesh, you can feel pain; you can hurt. In spiritual form you do not feel, there is only happiness, a sense of well-being.”
"We all must learn certain attitudes while we're in physical state. Charity, hope, faith, love - we must all know these things and know them well."
"Our task is to learn, to become God-like through knowledge. We know so little. By knowledge we approach God, and then we can rest. Then we come back to teach and help others."
