IF INDEED THERE is a grand purposer. He has made clear how we fit in with his lofty promises & that it is mainly contained in the Holy Scriptures. Note how we are involved:
(Isaiah 45:18) “18 For this is what Jehovah has said, the Creator of the heavens, He the [true] God, the Former of the earth and the Maker of it, He the One who firmly established it, who did not CREATE IT SIMPLY FOR NOTHING for , who formed it even to be inhabited"
In Moses biography of Job:
(Job 21:15) “15 What does the Almighty amount to, that we should serve him, And how do we BENEFIT OURSELVES in that we have come in touch with him?. . .”
Christ Jesus presents the hope of the earthly resurrection:
(John 5:27-29) “. . .. 28 Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice 29 and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life,. . .”
To illustrate the feasibility of how the earth could easily support all who have lived & died:
*** it-2 p. 792 Resurrection ***
Resurrection During 1,000 Years.
A very liberal estimate of the number of persons that have ever lived on earth is 20 billion (20,000,000,000). Many students of the subject calculate that not nearly so many have lived. Not all of these, as it has been shown in the foregoing discussion, will receive a resurrection, but even assuming that they did, there would be no problem as to living space and food for them. The land surface of the earth at present is about 148,000,000 sq km (57,000,000 sq mi), or about 14,800,000,000 ha (36,500,000,000 acres).
--Even allowing half of that to be set aside for other uses, there would be more than a third of a hectare (almost 1 acre) for each person. As to earth’s potential food production, a third of a hectare will actually provide much more than enough food for one person, especially when, as God has demonstrated in the case of the nation of Israel, there is abundance of food as a result of God’s blessing.—1Ki 4:20; Eze 34:27.
All that God & Christ will provide as marvelous blessings for mankind as above, come under the "Kingdom" we pray for from Armageddon to the start of earthly resurrection onto beginning of paradise of the earth- as in the "Lords prayer"-or "Our Father Prayer"-
".....thy Kingdom come thy will be done on earth as it does in heaven......" (Mathew 6:9)

The general idea is to live life, correct any past damaging or unhealthy issues that may have occurred (sometimes this means discovering those things), to correct all of the things about yourself you would like to change, and to create the best possible life you can have -- for your future (or future generations). We aren't here for no reason, I am not religious, but we are a part of a Universe that is very intricate and there is no way that we are here for no reason.
Every decision you make, every action you take has meaning. You posted this because you were either curious or crazy (nothing wrong with either) but they are both meanings. You go to school to learn, you work to earn money, you learn... to make a better you. For every cause there is an effect -- it's Universal Law (look it up) therefore there is a meaning to everything.
Your philosophy is built up of what you think, changing your thinking isn't easy but it will change your life's philosophy. If you think life has NO meaning -- then it doesn't. If you think life HAS meaning -- then it does. It's as simple as that.
Maybe you should take a look at yourself... a deep look... and you'll find within yourself what the meaning of YOUR life is. Everyone has one... and long ago (more so than now) people actually knew why they were put here, what they were meant to do, what their specialties were, and what the true meaning of life was. Maybe none of you are ready... but if you are... there is a great up and coming community that is here to serve, http://totallymi.com/

I have been wondering the same thing as of late and I believe I have been wondering this due to being at a LOW point of my life, stuck at a cross roads with no way out for a few months due to housing contracts. I now know that even tho this isn't idea I will go back to being my happy self once it's all over and I will embrace LIFE again after learning some very valuable things about myself. we may all die but we may as well make the most of life while we can.

It depends on your religious point of view. For example, if you believe in re-incarnation life is like a training exercise where you build up your knowledge and experience in order to be stronger spiritually.
If you aren't sure then life is a roller coaster ride that you enjoy and make the most of and just wait and see if there is anything beyond this physical existence.

You feel that it doesn't make sence as you are caught up in the existence of duality. It is the ego mind that confuses and mis-interprets. Seek wisdom and truth and you will find the answers you are looking for. Search within and one will realise, that you are not the voice but the watcher of that voice.
The why... To experience life in this reality
The purpose.....to contemplate on this experience
The reason ..... To connect to the divine cosmic intelligence.

i totally get the were gonna die anyway thing but i mean come on... lol no matter what religion you are you have to admitt that 70-80 years is a long time to wait for something and i mean my not get comfortable? make a few plans, meet some new friends, travel to places you've never seen, fall in love etc. just because we physically die does not mean what we left behind does. the point of life is if any to laugh, love, and learn then pass that knowledge to the next generation

Because you don't have to die. if you believe in Jesus then you will have everlasting LIFE! so your life is your decision maker for the rest of your eternity that you can either spend in everlasting misery, agony and pain or in paradise and beauty in heaven. I recomend the second option! Good luck! God loves u regardless!

the point of life is the fulfill a purpose of happiness. people are always in search of happiness and content. if there wasnt a purpose for living none of would be here would we? its something you have to determine what your level on content is, people commit suicide because they are not content and dont think things can get better for them, they lose hope in their pursuit of happiness. We are here for different reasons but we all have the one goal that binds us together

Death is only one side of life, your being linear when your saying life is only to die... I recommend that you step back; try looking from a different perspective.
