Is it safe for a kitten with feline leukemia to get spayed?

The vet said cats with feline leukemia do not heal as fast as cats that dont have it. I know she has to be spayed, but I dont want it to affect her health. I dont want to risk her life. If your cat has leukemia, how did getting fixed affect them?

I would get a second opinion. your vet doesn't sound very caring or worried of your cat. =^-^=

I'd wait a few more months. Wait until she is older (that way she can get stronger for the operation) try discussing this with your vet. Getting her fixed will make it hard for her to recover since she has leukaemia. Wait about 2-3 months :)
Hope she gets better :D
