It may be helpful, but it requires a Constitutional Amendment, which would require a 2/3 vote of Congress in favor, so it ain't gonna happen.

I agree to a term limit. There are members of the House and Senate that look like they're ready for hospice care. Most of the oldest members are set in their outdated ways and think the country should be run in the same ways of the 1950s. The year is 2012 and moving fast into the future we need representatives in Washington DC that are open minded, can think outside the box, are tolerant and accepting of all americans and the issues that concern them. The fact that they would not sign a bill into law simply cause it extends its services to Gay couples and immigrant women who need it is a conformation of how out of touch racist and phobic they are.

Twelve years maximum. Six two years terms in the House or two six year terms in the Senate. Or combination thereof which does not exceed 12 years.
If we want this nation to continue to exist as a democracy, we pretty much need to clean out Congress. Those currently in office also need to be covered by the same 12 years maximum.

There are already term limits. They're called elections.
A good example of what happens when a large group of new, inexperienced people join politics all at once is the state of the House today.
