Not that Israeli Deputy Prime Minister Dan Meridor admitted Ahmadinejad had been misquoted?

Vis-à-vis wiping out Israel, will Zionists apologize for purposely misleading people? And I'm not a fan of Iran, but I do believe it is a product of western interference.

@Hatmanone the Sorting Hatmanone and Showrt and sweet, never said he DIDN'T say that but he DIDN'T say WE are going to wipe Israel off the map. Or are you going to deny that's been quoted here and god knows how may other forums. Repeatedly I, and others have stated he never said Iran was going to wipe Israel off the map. BTW you ever repeat these lies?

@YK Cherson, are you saying you DIDN'T say "What I liked most was the part when this arab clown says 'if we say we want to wipe Israel out'" So which Arab clown were you referring to? And sorry, but I don't see anywhere either a refutation nor apology for Zionists. Or are you and others saying it's okay to mislead people?

2012-04-20T07:34:03Z

@short and sweet I'm referring to misleading people, like "Destroyed 350 Christian Churches & Mosques, but blamed Israel for their demise". Odd statement to blame Arabs for the destruction of mosques and churches in Israel during the civil war, while never actually attacking inside Israel itself...now who could have said such a misleading statement?

2012-04-20T17:03:40Z

@kevin7, their statements may be correct, but they didn't address my question. It's no secret some Zionists, many of them have been saying Ahmadinejad been saying he'll wipe Israel of the map. Sometimes when being refuted, they can even be insulting. Whether or not people agree with Israel or Iran or Mexico doesn't change the fact that the statement commonly attributed to this man was false. People still used it tp back their arguments knowing it was false. So you don't think they owe the people they insulted or belittled an apology for stating the truth.

I can't see the problem here. If the Deputy of Israeli Prime Minister himself admitted that Iranian president was misquoted, why are people still saying he was not? In other words Dan admits there have been claims in Israel that Iranian president threatened to wipe out Israel and that these claims are false.

@Hatmanon
Actually, according to B'tselem report, Israeli settlers control 42% of West Bank lands
http://www.haaretz.com/news/diplomacy-defense/rights-group-israeli-settlements-control-42-percent-of-west-bank-1.300303
Don't forget the wall/barrier that is annexing big share of West Bank to Israel.

It's just semantics. The phrasing is different; the idea is the same. Ahmadinejad has made his feelings toward Israel abundantly clear.

Najad was very clear when he attacked the right wing regime in Israel and wished it to go. He never mentioned the wipe out of Israeli people.
They deliberately misled the Israeli public and the world to mobilize them against Iran
Very cheap business

Ahmandinejad made himself perfectly clear as keynote speaker in Iran's official annual "The World without Zionism" conference: http://www.memri.org/report/en/0/0/0/0/0/0/1510.htm

"'Very Soon, This Stain of Disgrace [i.e. Israel] Will Be Purged From the Center of the Islamic World – and This is Attainable'"

Notably he sees Israel as nothing more than an extension of a 300 year battle with "World of Arrogance [i.e. West]"

Scholars have written books based on research into their own words... about the Iranian leadership's messianic views, that when they start WWIII, that will bring the messiah... which will reap them rewards for being the ones to do it. That's not a question mark.

Israeli & world's question is, how to deal with it without triggering a war. For the sake of Iranians who merely wanted a vote & got beaten by their government. As well as for all of us.

Check out the link & his words... it's much, much more obvious.... hard not to conclude... there are many prior conferences like that too.

1. I've never said "wipe out" so I have no reason to apologize for it.
2. It's not a misleading concept, even when used. Just a misquote of exact words.
3. THEY'VE NEVER DENIED IT (the wording intent) -- they've never complained about the mistranslation of those words.
3. Reading the link I gave. Once I saw many pages like that over many years from this Iranian government... it's more obvious. Hard to not conclude...

Add their own attacks on their own people. Funding of Hamas & Hizbollah. Green-lighting of Hizbollah's war at Israel. They're religious statements & furtive. Their view that Palestinians are dispensable for the sake of their goals. They're sending children to clear mine fields with keys to heaven for when they blew up. They deny the Holocaust, so they have manipulations to their goals.

About Dan.....

Dan Meridor: "Well, I have to disagree, with all due respect. You speak of Ahmadinejad. I speak of Khamenei, Ahmadinejad, Rafsanjani, Shamkhani. I give the names of all these people. They all come, basically ideologically, religiously, with the statement that Israel is an unnatural creature, it will not survive. They didn’t say, ’We’ll wipe it out,’ you’re right. But 'It will not survive, it is a cancerous tumor that should be removed,' was said just two weeks ago again."
