RHH: Is Rap Fan's 100 Favourite Albums List Finished?
Not quite. I’ve got the 100 albums that I want, but I’m still in the process of ordering them. Hopefully it’ll be ready in the next couple of days or so.
I posted a top 50 list before, however it wasn’t really the same as this list… at all. It was a sort of half attempt at a subjective, half attempt at an objective list, and I found myself disliking the list after a while. It just wasn’t really the albums I listen to.
The albums you’ll see in the list are the ones that I really love, and listen to. They’re really my kind of music. The list will probably be controversial (I’ve omitted a few favourites, and the order of albums will probably make some people cringe) but at the end of the day, it’s just a subjective list. It’s just the music I love.
I should probably warn you in advance . . . there's a slightly disturbing lack of gangster rap there.
BQ: On a scale of 1-10, how closely do you predict your personal list (hypothetically if you haven’t actually made one) will be to mine, from what you know of me?
BQ2: Does any of this interest you even slightly?
P.S. Last time I did this, I got 2 stars . . . Now I know I shouldn't be greedy, but if you like the list, or want others to see it, I'd appreciate a star. The only reason I'm saying this is because other people generally rack up 15+ stars for their list.
Thanks guys.
@Swag: Thanks man.
@Metal Quality: Cool. If you post one, I'd love to see it.
And regarding the whole obscure albums thing: I've got a couple that I'm not sure everyone here has listened to, but for the most part they're albums most of the regs would know. I thought about going into a lot of the stuff I usually listen to that maybe not everyone does, however I realised that those albums, while cool, don't outclass any of the ones on my list. The ones on my list are relatively well known (if only in the underground) for a reason, I think.
@NasTheGodMC: I was pretty damn bored, yeah.
@Slow Flow: I don't hate Southern, although with that said, not many southern albums (aside from QN5, OutKast) made it onto my list.
@Mista Gab: Uhh . . . yeah... besides rap! Right . . . I have lots of that stuff!
@NoOffense: You're right about me liking horrorcore, however there probably isn't as much here as most would think. See above about the obscure albums thing.
