Trayvon Martin left the 7/11 at 6:22 pm. It is a *15* minute walk from that 7/11 to the fiancee's house. Zimmerman's phone call with the 911 dispatcher ends at 7:13.
If Trayvon was "Just trying to get home," why was he still "Just trying to get home" OVER *FIFTY* minutes later?!

Also, no deflections like "Why did Zimmerman get out of his truck?" Just answer the damn question for once!

@KoolKat, it is 15 minutes WALKING. AT MOST! Second, the rain never got heavy. The most it did was sprinkle. Third, his girlfriend didn't call him until 7:12!

I agree with Believe. What is it that you want to hear?
where did you get the time 6:22pm from? According to the police report which has Zimmerman's sworn statement. He said at 7:00pm he sees Martin walking inside the gated community from his truck. Zimmerman calls the non-emergency police # to report a suspicious person. makes a comment that he's "sick and tired of these asshole punks getting away with it". Even though he knows nothing about Martin, doesn't know where he's been or where he's going, yet makes the assumption that this guy is up to no good. (wow)
He says Martin approached him but then ran off. um ok... There's an old adage - if something doesn't make sense then its not true. In all my years of life & experience I have found this to be very accurate. This is what you call CYA. Lie to make people think the other person was the aggressor.
At 7:10pm he sees Martin again (coming back from the store) He calls the 911 dispatch and tells them he is following Martin because he thinks M has committed a crime - again he has not witnessed anything other than seeing him walking. The dispatch tells him to stop following & police are on the way. The 911 call ends at 7:13pm. Phone records show Martin is on the phone with girlfriend from 7:10pm.
Her statement includes the conversation she had with Martin and what she heard before the line went dead. She said Trayvon told her he is being followed by a man and he's scared, she tells him to run but then she hears a man's voice say "What are you doing here?" she hears Martin say "Why are you following me?" she hears what sounded like an altercation and Martin screaming "leave me alone" then the line goes dead.
Zimmerman told police he briefly lost track of Martin. Then he says Martin approached him (again) and they started arguing. Zimmerman said he reached for his phone but then Martin punches him in the nose, throws him to the ground and begins slamming his head into the sidewalk. At 7:17pm police arrive and Martin is pronounced dead at 7:25pm.
I find it hard to believe is that between 7:13pm and 7:17pm all of those things that Z claimed happened, actually happened. Thats 4 minutes for him to first be following M, then lose track of him, then M approaches Z, they get into an argument, then the fight breaks out and Z is able to pull his gun and shoot! (this means the safety had to be off otherwise he wouldn't have been able to shoot so quickly which means Z took it off before he made contact with M - which begs the question why??). Z would have us think all of that took place in 4 minutes? I'm not buying it, its just not consistent with reality.
I think what really happened is consistent with the girlfriend's version. Z approached M said what he said then immediately attacked M, as they fought Z pulled his gun & shot him.
One detective who questioned Z at the station said he didn't believe Z was telling the truth. According to that detective, the slamming of Z's head to the ground wasn't consistent with the physical evidence at the scene nor the wounds Z sustained. The first person to arrive on the scene was a neighbor. he claimed that Z was on top of M. He said Z asked him if he had a phone and to call his (Z's) wife and tell her he just shot somebody. strange thing to ask.
The witnesses accounts are confusing. There are witnesses who say they saw Martin on top yet other witnesses say that they saw Z on top of M. I read there were 17 cops who questioned about 11 different witnesses and there were a lot of conflicting notes from these interviews. Also 2 witnesses who told police that Z was on top stated the police tried to get them to change it to Martin (by way of the color of their shirts) being the one on top - sounds like some of them just wanted to close the investigation.
Side Note: to the guy who asked about "trace amounts" of THC in victim's blood. Do you know what trace amount means? It means a very small, insignificant amount. It also means that Trayvon didn't smoke anything for approximately 1 to 3 weeks prior to that night. The trace amount found was so minute that it registered less than 2 nanograms. If he had smoked anything even up to a week prior it would NOT have been trace amounts it would have shown as a significant amount.
And let me advise you that its quite common for the average teen to have significant amounts of THC in their blood. Marijuanna is so easy to get and they all share it with their friends so for you to insinuate that all those things are rare or difficult is laughable.
Seriously you're pretty ignorant if you don't know that.
If you're on the phone to your girlfriend and it's raining on and off, do you jog home? that's the only way that's a 15-minute trip. Walking without hurrying, more like 25.
He probably stopped in shelter every time the rain got heavier, and just sauntered along the rest of the time, talking to the girl. There is NO LAW against any of that.
OK I won't ask why Zimmerman got out of his truck.
I'll just ask this... from when he DID get out to when, from the phone tape, he stopped running, was 26 seconds. From that spot more than 2 minutes later he still had not GOT BACK TO THE TRUCK which is what he said he was trying to do when attacked.
How come in 2 minutes he didn't get back to somewhere it only took him 26 seconds to leave?
No law says you have to go directly back to your truck, either. Except when you didn't, but claim on oath you did, that's called perjury.
@Jose..get real. Weed is cheap and lots of teens have a puff every now and then. The amount found in his blood means one use in past 3 weeks. Besides.... Zimmerman got suspicious because he DID NOT KNOW HIM. So wouldn't matter if he was the devil himself, it could not be the reason Zimmerman did what he did - because he could NOT KNOW. On the other hand if he got suspicious because of recent robberies...well that's where profiling comes in..........
It doesn't matter. Trayvon had a right to be there. Remember, America is the land of the free. Trayvon could have been doing back flip or scratching his azz. He still didn;t deserve to die. Zimmerman should have keep his big azz in the car and let PoPo hand it. So I guess you also blame a raped victim by the clothes she wears too. <3

Useless question, what's your point, he deserved to get killed for being slow?
Kids take too long over short distances all the time, that doesn't justify vigilante neighborhood watchmen, going around killing them.
Seriously, you seem to forget you're talking about a human-life here, this kid would've been alive if Zimmerman stayed in his truck, why do you feel this NEED to damage a kid, who died, because of a terrible tragedy?
