Is this normal cat behavior?

I guess I should give you guys a little background about him. I had Tango since he was just a day old. At least that's we think he was a day old. He still had his umbilical cord when we got him. No I did not steal him from his mommy cat. A few kids found him and gave it to their mom or something. Who then bought him to my mom's work. Which is how I got him. Now Tango and my brother's cat don't get along. So when Tango is out, we put my brother's cat up. 

Now here is what I don't think is normal. Tango flat out will refuse to leave my room. I have to make him leave my room. Even then he will stay by my door the whole time, just laying there. At times he will hide under a table. Now when he see my door open he will run under my bed. To make sure I can't put him out there. Is this normal? I really never a had cat who did this.

Your room is probably the only place Tango acknowledges as his 'territory'.  It's ok for him to stay in your room as long as he has food, water and a litter box.  You might open the window to let him roam outside if he's an indoor/outdoor cat.  If he's not, do some research on cat shelves.  You can build them yourself or just take the bottoms out of some old dresser drawers and attach them to your wall in a pattern that lets him hop from one shelf to another.  That way, he'll get exercise and have somewhere high up to perch.

Yes.  He loves being in your room and considers it his home,  so to make him leave really makes him upset.

poor sweetpea sounds very very worried of outside/very attached to you maybe> perhaps destined to be an indoor cat?
