I know milk isn't healthy for them but I only give it as a treat and not too often. Carnation milk is sanitized milk so it it's pretty much bacteria free and it doesnt give her the runs which is good. She won't drink cat milk I tried it as a treat and she snubbed it.

As long as she isn't reacting to it then the odd treat is nice and safe for her,we once had a cat who loved carnation and would meow loudly as soon as she saw the can,you could try adding water to water it down but if she is like our cat was then she wont fall for that!,
but yes its safe in small amounts as the occasional treat.

Carnation is evaporated milk. It is average milk with less liquid (one of the most water is evaporated). While you add water it's general milk. No, milk will have to no longer take delivery of to cats or kittens of any age. That involves evaporated milk. Orphaned kittens that still want milk must receive a commercial alternative milk formulated for them. Cows milk without difficulty does now not fulfill their nutritional standards.

It isn't bacteria that's the problem, but that cat's stomachs aren't designed to digest cow milk. However, if your cat is only drinking small amounts and not daily, it probably isn't much of an issue. Here's a list of the most common people foods that are harmful to cats:

If the milk doesn't give her the runs, then it's a nice treat for her. One of mine gets a couple licks from my cereal bowl each morning. Milk is only bad if it's given as a meal and not a treat, and if it causes them gastrointestinal issues.
