Let Side 1= w
Side 2 would then be 3w+2
The perimeter is 2(Side 1+ Side 2) or
2(w + 3w + 2) = 28
4w+2=14
4w=12
w=3 <--Side 1
Side 2 then is
3w+2 or 3(3)+2=11
The rectangle is 3cm x 11cm

let l and b be the length and breadth of the rectangle.
then l = 2 + 3b.
perimeter = 2 l +2 b = 2(2+3b) + 2b
=4+6b+2b = 4+8b =28cm
hence 8b =24cm . b=3cm and l = 2+9 = 11 cm.
perimeter = 22+6=28cm
Roonie
L=2+3w
perimeter = L +w
2+3w+w =28
4w=28-2=26
w=26/4=6.5 cm
L=2+3(6.5)=21.5 cm
