How do I tell my boss I only want to work a limited amount of hours? (I'm in college)?

Okay so I just graduated from community college and will now be attending a 4 year university in the fall. It's really close to my house, about 15 minutes driving. My dad let me live for free these past 2 years, but he made a deal with me a while back that ill have to cooperate financially after transferring. I totally forgot and begged him not to charge me but he said I need to learn responsibility. Even though I get straight A's, he's not satisfied and wants me to experience paying for myself. Ugh so unfortunate. We had an argument earlier, but oh well I'm going to have to like it or not.

Anyways, he will only be charging me $100 dollars. Even though its not alot, I don't want my assets to decline at all. So I've been applying for a job and got some interviews at places like Starbucks and the movie theatre. My question is: when or how do I tell my boss I only want to work 10-15 hours max? I really want the job, but I don't want to turn him off or lure him away when he sees I only want a limited amount of hours. Thanks

Tell him upfront, he has a job he needs to do, which is fill the position with the right person, and he needs to know if you can do it for him or not.

I'd say something like, "I really enjoy this place and I think I'd be a good fit here, but I'm a full time student and I need a job that doesn't require more than 15 hours a week, so I can keep up with my studies, would this be possible, or what kind of hours are you looking for?" That's rough but I'd say something along those lines.

student loans are surprising on the time; you get to concentration entirely on college, you could stay really conveniently, and this is loose money at the moment. pay attention. you're in a position to arise with the money for them without problem once you get a pastime, and pay each and each bill you've on time, yet even as it contains determining to purchase a house and also you nevertheless have a gaggle of money in student loans to pay off (even federal( your debt to earnings ratio will kill your opportunities, no remember what you could actual arise with the money for. Your credit status may be tremendous, yet once you've undesirable debt to earnings ignore it. when I were given promises, the faculty took the money for training and gave me what replaced into left (this replaced into the case for the loans to boot( from there you could spend it as you want. No authentic regulations, basically training. you may take slightly on-line quiz to exhibit you could cope with federal help and spend wisely. the quantity you get relies upon on marital status, once you've little ones, and in the experience that your mom and dad nevertheless declare you on their taxes. in the experience that your mom and dad declare you, you receives lower than in the experience that they do no longer. if you're married you get more desirable, and once you've youngsters you get a lot more desirable, and if you're a unmarried figure you've hit the federal help jackpot. and in reality good success :D
