What is the hardest statistics topics that students have most trouble with?

I am in college and enrolled in statistics for the summer session. I have 3 weeks before classes start, and I want to be able to have some knowledge of stats or even go over the harder concepts, that way I can be familiar with them when I start class and they won't be so hard anymore. Thanks

You really didn't say what level statistics (mathematical statistics with calculus or simply intro stats), but assuming it is simply intro stats, here are some random areas that I am aware of ...

1) Distinguish between Type I and Type II error and be able to determine the value of the error.

2) Knowing when to use the Normal or Student's t Test.

3) Knowing the difference between a sample statistic and a population parameter.

4) Solving for required sample size, when you are given the margin of error, standard deviation and a confidence interval

5) Using the Normal approximation to the Binomial

6) Understanding the Chi-square Tests

Hope that helps and Good Luck with the course!

I am terrible at math...However did rather good at records. It isn't that rough, I decide on it to algebra, and it's truly simply plenty of memorization...Formulation and understanding when to make use of which of them. Most professors enable a "cheat sheet" when taking assessments to jot down down any and each formula which you could match on it. They don't always want you to consider all the formulas however they do assume you to know which one to use. That you can normally get a tutor to support you out if you're having problems...However i do not consider you're going to want one.
