Why does my Car Bog down ?

I recently had my gasket changed . But now , when the car is started , the engine bogs , rpm drops and it goes off , the next time the car wont accelerate , in fact when pressing the accelerator the rpm first goes down , bogs and then rises slowly . when I  accelerate slowly there is not much problem of bogging.
Once I get it to run ,the next problem comes out.  When braking and holding the clutch to go down from some gear , the car goes off after pressing the clutch i.e rpm drops to 0 and the steering as well as brakes get locked. And also when holding the clutch while changing gears ,  the rpm goes down below 1000 and starts shaking and the car almost goes off . What is causing this ? Engine oil ? or anything else ??
And also , the check engine sign is always on !

If the head gasket was recently changed, it's very likely the cylinder head was not torqued down correctly. This will allow the engine to draw some air from past the gasket, and create a lean air/fuel mixture.

Anything that uses engine vacuum to operate (e.g. brake, clutch) will cause the engine to run even leaner. Your engine can't get enough fuel, and will shut off.

You should take your vehicle to a reputable garage, have the head(s) torqued down properly and have the previous person's work inspected thoroughly.

Make, model, year? Which of the many gaskets did you have changed? By a professional or a so-called 'mate'?

It sounds like the engine is not only hard to start and running badly, but stopping whenever you lift off the gas, which suggests there is a problem with the timing, ignition (if petrol) or air/fuel mixture. That could be caused by a lot of things. IF it was a cylinder head gasket that was changed, and the IF car ran OK(ish) before, then I'd suspect it's been put back together badly. If the job was done by a professional, take it back.

If your car is fuel injected, the electronic throttle position the sensor on the throttle body could be bad. The check engine light.
kind of depends on how new the car is. If it's a newer one or your lights start to go dim as one person put it, it is quite simply the governor. Fairly cheap and easy to have that problem fixed.
