Having trouble w/my Oreo Lollipop!?

For some reason I cannot get the stick in the cookie w/o the cookie breaking in pieces. I've made these a few times and never had an issue. The cookies are new Double Stuffs and I've bought 3 packs of them so far without any good results. I am making candy for a fund raiser to help a baby in need and people are ordering these pops like crazy. I am flipping out! What can I do to fix these!?

Try to separate the cookie first and put a little bit of chocolate on the cream. Lay your stick on top and press gently. Top with the other cookie, again press gently, and let it set up in the fridge.
