We're going to spend 4 days in St Petersburg, Florida in mid March and I'm looking for any recommendations of what you consider are must see or things to do while we're there. We have a hotel right on the beach and want to spend some time soaking up the sun but I'd like to do some exploring too.
Any advice or pointers would be great and if you have any helpful links would be awesome too.

St. Petersburg has several interesting things to do! You can go to Tropicana stadium and catch a sporting event. There's the Dali Museum with numerous works by Salvador Dali. The downtown area has a great nightlife and on the weekends they have an awesome market setup.
If you're going to have a car Tampa is very close as well. There's Busch Gardens, Florida Aquarium, Ybor City Nightlife. The Tampa Bay lightning hockey games....
