Why did that happen?

I stood up to my mother (finally).  But even then I was still polite and calm.
I called her out on her bullying behavior and reminded her that her 3rd husband was terribly abusive toward me.
She denied it completely, then got mad at me and turned the whole family against me.

I am now ostracized from the family and she's told everyone I "imagined things" and am "making things up because I have mental problems".  She denies everything. She is the victim of a crazy daughter, so she refuses to speak to me.

No one in my family speaks to me now because according to her, I am crazy and lying.
Even my brother, who was also abused, denies it and has taken her side against me.

Now first I have to say this is speculation but, it is a good guess of what was going on.

Basically many people like to live in denial. Basically because facing the facts are too hard for them to take, so they live in a fantasy world. It is something you have to realize whenever you reach a crossroad. You have to always remember there are at least two ways something can turn out. Now it would have been great if they could face the situation and a long healing process would have begun, but for your family and many others it is sometimes just easier to deny any and all of any events from the past.

I wonder if you even realized it could turn out this way before you spoke up? I hope you find your way to getting a job (that has benefits) and you can seek some help with a licensed therapist. I hope your life’s journey starts looking brighter.

Here's what you need to do, get a camcorder, or any recording device(if you don't have one than buy it or shoplift it) film your mom, post it on YouTube,Facebook,Twitter,Instagram. Than call the cops they'll take care of her and show her the video to.
