Is anyone else mad that most good TV shows only have 16 episodes or less a year?
What happened to the good old days when shows would create more than 1/3 a years worth of shows. Is 16 episodes a year enough?

This isn't quite true. It's pretty much for cable TV shows like Mad Men, The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, etc. It's also true of UK shows like Doctor Who. Sherlock does like 3-4 episodes a year, but I believe they run around or longer than an hour.
Network TV typically do 20-26 episodes, depending on timing and popularity of the show.
