Should i tell my mother that i got my girlfriend pregnant and that we plan to place it for adoption?

I do not really want to tell my family simply because they'll either tell me to keep the child, scold me for it, and i can not take care of a child at this moment.

I'm 20 if anyone is wondering. still in college and currently unemployed. We feel that an open adoption will be better that way the child will have a family that can take care of it and me and my girlfriend can get ourselves together by finishing our schooling.

I just feel bad if my mother does not know but at the same time i already know how this will turn out as stated above.

Again if we go through with the adoption it will be an open adoption meaning we will have information about the child, pictures, letters, videos etc and it as it grows up.

You are legally an adult, you can make your own decision about his. No one can force you to keep the child and raise it. If you assure the child's well being by trying to assure he/she has a good home where it will be supported and loved, you've fulfilled your obligation. If you and the mother of the child are in agreement, it's a done deal. Personally, if you are living with your parents or relying on them for some type of support until you are out of school and feel they might withdraw that because of their disagreement of you decision, I suppose I would not tell them about it. (rather sneaky, buy understandable) If you aren't dependent upon them you might want to go ahead and tell them, at some point in the next few years they will need to understand that you are responsible for your life, not them. You won't always be able to "please" them by making all decisions based upon their approval.

In addition, I would suggest that you use your "adulthood" and newfound sense of responsibility to assure you don't father more children until you are ready to raise them, support them, etc.

You shouldn't have concieved a chilPrincess Mononoke - Main Themed unless you planned on keeping it. Your family would be right to scold you.
