Does the UK have the death penalty?

Does the UK or any country within the UK have the death panalty?

And if it is on the books, is it usually practiced? That is, is someone (i.e. a person who's been found guilty) commonly or rarely sentenced to death?

And if someone is sentenced to death, what is the usual method of execution?

No. The last execution was in 1964 and abolished in 1969 in England and 1973 in Northern Ireland. Hanging was the usual method. Albert Pierrepoint was the most famous hangman.

The UK does not have the death penalty. We realise that if a mistake occurs you can't resurrect the individual whereas you can free an innocent person.
