YA: How can I set the spell check on this site?

When I type a question or answer on YA, I don't get a red line or any type of indication on mispelled words. (Like 'misspelled'.) How can I set it to check my spelling?

How can I set the spell check on my browser (Firefox)?

Yahoo's spellchecker was pretty dire to be fair and especially for non-Americans and it would through out a lot of perfectly acceptable words in common use in other regions of the English language speaking world.
What you can do is to install an add-on for the browser you are using with a spellcheck and those are usually regional, and easier to add words to the dictionary.

I use a UK spellcheck on Firefox and so I guess it depends on if you want a US check, a UK check or another one

The UK one I use is https://addons.mozilla.org/en-GB/firefox/addon/british-english-dictionary-/ Click "Add to Firefox" and reload the page you were using on Y!A and it should then show the mis-spellings (although you may need to close the browser entirely and restart for some add-ons)

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox/addon/united-states-english-spellche/ seems to be the most popular US spellcheck based on ratings

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/canadian-english-dictionary/ - Canadian
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/au-english-dictionary - Australian

If you look at the top right of any of the above pages you can see a box "Search for add-ons" and you can use that to search for any add-ons if you want another one.

The Yahoo spell check feature is gone. Use your browser spell check feature or Google spell check
