Help?! Gamestop gave me the wrong Destiny game?

so I bought the first destiny used for PS4 and I opened it and the disc only says destiny on it and all the info. but once I put it inside the ps4, the beginning says "destiny: the taken king". how did they put the original artwork but have the taken king? I saw him put the disc inside since it is preowned.

does anyone have taken king? can they take a snapshot?

The Taken King is just an expansion. It is not a different game. It does not come on its own disc.

Every owner of Destiny downloaded the update which contained The Taken King, however only people who bought the expansion actually get to play the content of it. Your game will still say that though because that's how it is now
