What are some bolt action .22s with internal magazines?
I would like to buy a bolt action .22 with internal magazine. The only one I have been able to find is the Marlin XT-22 with tubular magazine, but that gun is illegal in my state (I live in Connecticut). Does anybody know of any other bolt action .22s with internal magazines? Also, we are limited to 10-round magazines.

the others with internal, or tubular, magazines are likely to be illegal too. Henry and Marlin makes lever action 22's, capacity is i think 17 rounds. marlin 60 is a semi auto with tube mag, 16 rounds i think. they were more popular years ago than now, and many gun shops (not in CT) will have an assortment of old 22's with tube mags, pump, lever, bolt, semi auto, by all the big brands like marlin, savage, remington, winchester (maybe?) and a bunch of brands that no longer exist. I'm sure a great many of them were made in CT, which ironically now is no longer legal to own in CT.
why internal magazine? the only internal, non detachable magazine for .22 rifle is the tube magazine, and they run the length of the barrel and i've yet to hear of one that holds 10 or less rounds.
the reason why no other internal mag system, like centerfire rifles, is because it is very impractical to reload a 22 box magazine without removing it. there are many 22 rifles with magazine that fits flush to stock, so nothing sticks out. current production is the semi auto ruger 10/22, which the factory 10 round rotary mag fits flush with stock and nothing sticks out. with used guns that's probably a hundred or more options, I own a Mauser 545a that has a detachable box magazine that fits flush with stock, nothing sticks out. Got it for $190. turns out its worth double that, but i won't sell it. got a very interesting story behind it (its not made by mauser as it says).
there are lots of single shot 22's if you do not want any magazine stuff on the bottom of the stock. nothing wrong with a single shot, I got a nice Voere (gmbh germany) made in the 50s that's single shot, its a very accurate rifle that is all handmade, hand fitted, lightweight, very simple rifle that only cost $150 in 90% cond.
but since i don't know them all, andi doubt any person alive today does either, since 22's were made since the 1870s, maybe if you look hard enough you'll find some oddity that is internal mag less than 10 rounds and hopefully isn't a museum piece.
the years poking around my local gun shop's used gun racks, i've seen some pretty odd 22's. a M1 carbine converted to 22. this was like 5 years before any manufacturer made a modern m1 carbine specifically chambered for 22. there was a 22 manual action that used the pedersen device for semiauto- definitely a "what the heck?" rifle. found a 22 wmr sks, which i wish i bought because it was more than likely, one of a kind type of rifle. turns out there was never any official production 22 cal sks. it may of been a personal firearm someone made legal and then that person died (probably) and their heirs don't like guns and it wound up at an estate sale.
