How much college should I pay for my son? Is this fair?

Consider the Military OVER College. (both a 4 year term)
College will get you a degree in a FIELD... YOU MIGHT GET A JOB IN
(400 Graduates, 60 Job Openings)
Ask anyone "trying" to paying off a student loan, working as something they didn't learn in college.

The Military is ON THE JOB TRAINING/EDUCATION.
(includes clothes, books, meals, travel and benefits)

COLLEGE: YOU pay for Housing, Food, Medical, Dental, Travel and hold down a job to pay for everything while studying. (do you have a family?)

MILITARY: PAYS for all this and PAYS YOU while you learn, plus your family is included. (health benefits and all)

Most people think THEY will get killed if they join the Military
(biggest fear)...
NOBODY thinks they will get killed by a drunk driver (college partying) or a Sniper at a college (because that has NEVER happened)

Think about it. Pay for something YOU MIGHT DO one day OR get paid and taken care of (and your family) while DOING SOMETHING and LEARNING ABOUT IT.
Not to mention the Benefits a Veterans get AFTER the military.

Couldn't Hurt To Take A Look And Compare.
I'm not a Military Recruiter, but I'm also NOT paying off a student loan.

As a parent, you have a moral obligation to pay for at least half of your son's college.

If you just want to kick him out the door after high school and make him fend for himself, you have that legal right.

Keep in mind that the way you treat him will determine how often you get to see your grandchildren after he is married with kids.
