Okay so I have a learner's permit and my brother has his liscense. We are both over 18, but both under 21 or 25 or whatever it is. So since my brother is over 18 and licensed, am I, an over 18 with a learner's permit, allowed to drive with just him? Or does my licensed driver still have to be over 21 or 25 or whatever it is? Don't you love people who answer without knowing the law? Many people (smart people) decide to learn how to drive before taking the behind-the-wheel driving test, and to do so they need a permit no matter what their age may be. That is what you are doing--good choice.
When you are 18 with a permit you must be accompanied by a licensed driver 18 or over. (Veh C 12509.) The restriction requiring an older accompanying driver applies only to those under 18. (Veh C 12814.6.)

license it says with a because on the back of the license it says with a the license adult in all 50 states when you turn 18 you're considered adult if you have any problems with it I would argue it

Once you are 18, you can just go study and take the test for a full driver's license.
