Have a year and a half old German Shepherd and she does NOT get along with our cat at all!  The dog (Heidi)?

Hello! I have a concern I'd like to ask you about.   We have a year and a half old German Shepherd and she does NOT get along with our cat at all!!!  The dog (Heidi) is in  Crate more often than not.   When she sees the cat she attacks him and if we weren't there to separate them,  she would have easily KILLED him.  The cat was so scared this last time, that je oee'd. This has happened at least 5 times!  The cat stays In  my mom's room pretty much all the time.  I hope you can help me out!!   Thanks!

Many GS dogs are cat aggressive, unless raised with a cat from a very young age. Unless you can get your dog trained to leave the cat alone, there is a serious chance that the dog will eventually injure or kill the cat. Get rid of one of them.

Sounds like nobody knows how to train, correct or read a dog's body language. Without being able to SEE what's really happening, nobody can help. So either keep them separated or re-home one of them. Is this dog getting even close to enough exercise - both mental and physical - that the breed needs? What dog sports is the dog competing in to keep it from going neurotic from boredom?

you cannot be serious, my first great dog hated cats with such fury he would have torn them apart had he gotten hold of one...even in woodland if he saw a feral cat my dog would lose it and cats ran for their lives, up trees which saved them.

there is NOTHING NOTHING you can do, find another home for this dog she deserves better than a life in a crate.
