All the way until they have an opening for tech school for your job.

The way it happens is about two months (or more depending on which branch you're talking about),,, before your school is scheduled to have an opening is when they send you to basic/BMT/Boot camp.

It could be as little as two months to almost a year- depending on how fast they rotate boots through school.

I see in your other question that you were comparing national guard/reserves to active duty. Did you know that PTSD is comparable in both? I know it sounds counterintuitive, but it's true.
