Can I record a digital TV broadcast on VCR ?

Four years ago, during the last World Baseball Classic, I recorded late night Asian games on VCR. Since then, Time Warner went all digital and it doesnt seem to be working. Is it now impossible to record an MLB Network game on VCR?

Only if you have one of those $30 Digital to Analog converter box's ahead of it.

But VCR's are obsolete and Analog TV signals are obsolete. Your use of home electronics will become simpler and better the sooner you get rid of the no-longer-made gear.

For $35 you can purchase this HD-PVR that will record signals from an antenna to a USB flash drive. This will preserve the HD content and you can watch it on your PC:

Not if you have to ask the question.

if there is hdmi out ... you will need a converter .. hdmi to composite

Only with a converter box that converts the signal to analog, and even then it might be copy protected.

you could if you had the output of the tv connected to the input of the vcr . If the vcr has a digital tuner even easier. Who still uses a vcr for recording tv?
