Tips for AP classes?

I'm taking AP world history this school year, and I'm kind of struggling. Although I am making a decent grade right now, ( I don't know if I should call a B+ a decent grade but whatever) I have more homework than usual and it has been hard for me not to procrastinate, since it is one of my best talents. I want to know what other people did to get in the mode for AP classes.

Time management skills. Realize the bad habits you allow to continue now will really hurt you in college.
You need to plan out your week and each day. Know what needs to get done and when you will do it.
Plan time to study and time for R&R. Use the weekend to catch up and get ahead. Plan time to go to the library to get work done and time later to see friends or watch TV.
My daughter uses any time she has. If there is 15 minutes before class starts, she uses that time to get. a small chuck of school work done. It adds up.

I definitely understand the procrastination life style, but eventually it screws you over. If you want to get A's in hard classes like it seems like you do, you have to be able to tough it out and actually study for some things and not doing the homework half asleep. (Speaking off experience)
