McConnell was caught saying something Wrong about the proposed changes in our tax code so he said that to cover his butt if he says something wrong again.
What was wrong was: "Everyone gets a a tax reduction." That is likely untrue but with that statement he is covered by the fact that Most will get one, but there will likely be some exceptions.
No claim can be made, at this point in the creation of the new tax code, as to who will get what or how much.
