What did you think of the Legend of Korra?
I really liked Avatar the Last Airbender, but the reviews I've heard about Korra were mixed leaning towards disappointing.

I really only enjoyed Books 1 and 3, and those were mainly due to having engaging villains as characters. The most bland character of the series is Korra herself; she is headstrong, arrogant, and stubborn - a complete 180 from Aang. It was due to her arrogance and actions that many tenants of the Avatar were lost.
The majority of the stories take place in a central location as well, so that sense of an epic adventure are lost along with the whimsy of discovering new cultures and animals. New friends are made along the way, sure, but it's just more of the same, or has to harken back to remnants of the previous series.
In fact, the best parts of the The Legend of Korra involved characters from The Last Airbender.

Love it.
Just wish they would cut her a break once in a while

I wasn't very impressed. Korra seemed more an "anything goes" deal where earthbenders and firebenders can be relatives and non-benders develop the trade. Suddenly advanced/taboo metal bending, blood or lightning had
become the norm. It took a bit of the wonders from the first series and made them less remarkable.
Of course I watched the first series from start to finish many times. But when I got around to Korra's first season (with the complaints I highlighted above) I wasn't willing to watch the second or third seasons.
That, and BoLin was a personality clone of Sokka. That was obviously on everybody's mind..

It's decent I guess.
