Humanity is mostly a crude joke. Do you agree, why or why not?

It seems to me that humans are all confused in one way or another. Like no one or almost no one knows the meaning of life, or tries to find a purposeful meaning within themselves. They all just clueless walking zombies, expect without the desire for cannabalizing raw flesh They also think they are important or "special" But in reality most people don't leave a lasting impact or succumb to greatness. The masses of folk out there, are just consummerists who do nothing but eat Bic Macs and take dumps while reproducing like a bunch of hopped up animals in heat. Only for the next little versions of themselves to do the exact same thing. I find this meta-physical world, more so the humans in it, to be very paradoxical.

"Humanity" is a general set which is not easily summarized re any significant focus, such as goodness, kindness, inventiveness, awareness, etc.

Crudity is precisely "raw fleshness consumption," as crudity referred to unbaked bread or untanned hides, from Latin crudus, uncooked, raw, bloody meat, from PIE *kreue-, raw flesh.  The notion of lacking social grace develops in the 17th century, as more people are beginning to live cooked food lives, hence turned around and pointed the finger at those who were lagging behind.

A similar situation of contrast seems to be occurring in the 21st century, as billions are moving from extreme poverty into comparatively higher standards of living, and the internet/cell phone adoptation by billions connects them to a world wide opportunity for learning and learning more about themselves.

There is no external meaning to life.  If you want one you have to create one for yourself.  That doesn't make life a "joke", it just means that it is what you make of it.  The "joke" is that us arrogant humans think that we know everything or that at least we should when in fact we only know a tiny bit.  And that's OK...
