Humanity is mostly a crude joke. Do you agree, why or why not?

Humans aren't a joke, but their affairs are and so they should be just ignored.

I beg to differ with your assessment of humans. There are millions of us who have gotten satisfying answers to some of the most important questions about life, God, our purpose in the scheme of things or even will suffering ever end. You sound a bit negative.  Maybe it’s not for us to know why or how, but to live life.  Some of it’s going to be good, some bad.  Very often it’s our attitude and perception towards dealing with things that really counts.  You can rail at the world, howling at the moon, shaking your fist at how its done you wrong.  World doesn’t care, it will carry on.  But how you turn your face towards the world does make a difference and that’s the only thing you can control.

Perhaps you should entertain living life as more meaningful than what is commonly displayed.  To live a more  meaningful life by display.

… Well?  That didn't go over very well!   So I have to tell on myself:

Years ago I practiced very  intensive yoga and gravitated toward the teachings of Buddha.  And declared myself as a Buddhist as a "burden".  I had no idea of exactly how much of a 'Burden' it would become!  But I do find meaning of life in it, being a teacher, and living 'correctly' is not an easy task!  

"Humanity" is a general set which is not easily summarized re any significant focus, such as goodness, kindness, inventiveness, awareness, etc.

Crudity is precisely "raw fleshness consumption," as crudity referred to unbaked bread or untanned hides, from Latin crudus, uncooked, raw, bloody meat, from PIE *kreue-, raw flesh.  The notion of lacking social grace develops in the 17th century, as more people are beginning to live cooked food lives, hence turned around and pointed the finger at those who were lagging behind.

A similar situation of contrast seems to be occurring in the 21st century, as billions are moving from extreme poverty into comparatively higher standards of living, and the internet/cell phone adoptation by billions connects them to a world wide opportunity for learning and learning more about themselves.

There is no external meaning to life.  If you want one you have to create one for yourself.  That doesn't make life a "joke", it just means that it is what you make of it.  The "joke" is that us arrogant humans think that we know everything or that at least we should when in fact we only know a tiny bit.  And that's OK...

Humans are very useful for opening cans of cat food.
