Why do christians want to convert people?

I'm Hellenic Pagan(belief in greek "mythology" and worship aphrodite) and would never convert anybody because people can believe what they want and Its not my place.

That's true. Some believe in Bigfoot, the Earth is flat, and the Clinton's don't lie.

it is because of the great commission Jesus gave to all disciples Mark 16:15,16 go into all the world and preach the gospel too every creature He who believes and is baptized will be saved but he who does not believe will be condemned.

James 5:19,20 brethren if anyone among you wanders from the truth, and someone turns him back let him know he who turns a sinner from the error of his way will save a soul from death and cover a multitude of sins.

We as Christians are building up treasures in heaven when we convert a sinner form the wide gate that leads to destruction. Thanks for the question.

Because God loves all people, and wants them all to have access to the truth.
